Essential Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in designing custom industrial equipment.
- Demonstrated design experience with hydraulic/electro-mechanical systems, welding/fabrication processes and GD&T.
- Design responsibilities include: design validation, machine dynamics, fabrication design, power transmission component selection, preparation of drawing packages, BOM creation and project documentation
- Proficient with SolidWorks (with formal training preferred); experience with FEA desirable
- Creative and analytical thinker
- Results oriented with proven experience in design-for-manufacturability
- Superior Microsoft office skills. Creation of project required testing documents and technical equipment manuals.
- Interpersonal and communication strengths, able to work individually and as part of a team
- There may be occasions when home, remote work is required. A home office with computer and stable, unlimited, highspeed internet connection.
- Capable of working at home undistracted and unsupervised
- Experience with ZOOM Meetings and Chat
- Adherence to company COVID policies.
Training/Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technologist.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng), or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) considered an asset but not required
